Our hi-pot testing exceeds 15,000 volts and our electrical testing reaches up to 6,000 volts. We perform 1000 amp servo motor amplifier drive & run testing and provide feedback labeling & software compatible with most servo models, guaranteeing comprehensive analysis and quality assurance.

A&C Electric follows a rigorous, step-by-step process for high-quality repairs on all electric motors. Our comprehensive approach combines meticulous data collection, thorough inspections and advanced testing techniques to diagnose issues and implement solutions. From initial assessment to final quality checks, our expert technicians employ industry-leading practices and cutting-edge equipment to restore your motors to optimal performance. Here's an overview of our detailed repair process:

1. Data: Our team meticulously records all motor nameplate data.
2. Inspection: We conduct a thorough visual check for damaged leads/terminals, worn output shafts/keyways and cracked end bells/covers.
3. Job Ticket: Documentation of comprehensive motor data, including all winding tests (Resistance, Meg Ω, Continuity), all bearing sizes, all seal sizes, brake torque tests (Record Torque, winding resistance) and feedback tests (Tachometer/Encoder).
4. Motor Disassembly: During this stage, we record bearing and seal sizes and measure bearing fits on the shaft and end bell. We assess brake torque alongside resistance and Meg Ω measurements, followed by additional winding tests like Surge and HiPOT. The stator is then cleaned and baked to remove moisture, while magnets are inspected for cracks or loose fittings. Finally, we test the encoder using specialized equipment such as the Heidenhain PWM20, Sick PGT-11 or Mitchell Electronics devices for accurate feedback functionality.
5. Assembly: Our team installs new bearings and seals, impregnates new windings if required, rebuilds or replaces brakes depending on manufacturer design and installs and aligns rebuilt or new encoders.
6. Rotor Balancing & Testing: We run the rotor through a full vibration diagnostic.
7. Run Testing: Every motor is run for a minimum of 1 hour. We use Siemens S110, S120, IndraDrive, AB Kinetix 300, Yaskawa 7 and AMC drives.
8. Service Report: We provide a detailed three-page service report upon completion of repairs. The report includes a pinout diagram for power and feedback, records of final brake torque and a photo of the nameplate alongside the motor. We also install a motor tag with a QR code linking to the service report and job histories. We can even attach a YouTube link showcasing the motor's performance.
